Friday Diary on Instagram

Another diary, showing you what I’ve been up to (and wearing) this week. This week wasn’t that exciting, since I spent most of my time studying. Fortunately, it’s an interesting subject (on how new media can change society), but still, I would have loved to enjoy this Indian Summer we have going on here in Holland a bit more.
What you’re looking at:
1. My gold metallic nails, and my Cheap Monday Hawk Ring (which I wear every day).
2. My boyfriend and I went to see Dazzled Kid in Luxor Live. It’s a great band from Amsterdam and live they are even better! You should check them out on YouTube. I’m a fan!
3. Wearing leopard on my way to school.
4. My cute little kitty, sleeping. I can get so jealous with her, since she has nothing to worry about, no to do-lists. All she does is sleep, eat, and play. And get cuddled a LOT, by me.
5. Wearing my new leopard sneakers! They are so comfy and funky at the same time!
6. Having drinks in the sun with my boyfriend. I did get to enjoy the sun a little this week, fortunately.
7. My new OPI silver shatter nail polish! I already had a black shatter nail polish, but this silver one brings shatter to a whole different level. I’ll show you soon!
I hope you have a lovely weekend! What are you up to this weekend?

Balmain Spring 2012. Pure perfection.

Balmain Spring 2012. Fresh from Paris Fashion Week.
I love the whole collection. The high waisted skirts. The Balmain shoulders. The leather, the prints, the gold. Pure perfection. I want the whole collection.
Oh by the way, can I have the designer, Olivier Rousteing (pictured in the middle), with it?

Outfit: Leopard Sneakers

Leopard sneakers   /   New Yorker
Jeans   /   Zara
T-shirt   /   Zara
Blazer   /   Vero Moda
Bag  /   River Island
Bracelets   /   ASOS, Vintage and H&M;
Sunglasses   /   Ray Ban
Showing you my new crush today! Found these great leopard sneakers at New Yorker, a store where I don’t come very often but I’m glad I did last week. I’ve been obsessing over leopard for a while now, and when I saw this sneakers, it was love at first sight. And oh so budget friendly! Great shoes like these don’t need too much crazyness, that’s why I’ve kept the rest of the outfit simple. I’ve bought the bag a couple of weeks ago at River Island, but since then, I’ve never left the house without it.
How do you like my sneakers?

Shop COS online

Did you know COS has just opened an online store?
There’s a real store coming to Amsterdam soon, but for those of you who can’t wait (or don’t have a COS store near), you can now get a lot of their items online!
Here’s a selection of my COS favorites. I love the minimalism, great shapes and fabrics of the brand. It’s really clean, simple fashion but with a very scandinavian feel and look. I love the simple leather clutch you see above. Just a clutch. Just black leather. Doesn’t need anything else. Very COS.

Still Not Sure (Tattoo Part 3)

Yes, you probably remember 2 of my posts before (here and here) where I was playing with the idea of getting a tattoo. In the first post, it was just an idea, but to be honest with you, I didn’t think I was going to do it. After the second post, something really did began to tickle. But still, I wasn’t sure if it would be something for me. In the month between the last post and this one, I’ve come across more tattoo’s, by incidence but also on purpose, since I still had a little voice in the back of my mind that kept remembering me about the idea. Well, the latest update on the thinking-about-getting-a-tattoo adventure is this: I think it can actually be something for me. Look at the above images. A small heart, bird or word, in a place where it can be hidden if I want to.. I really like the spot where the first girl got hers..
I still haven’t made up my mind, but my mind is going more and more in the ‘do it’-mode. Of course I’d have to think and be sure about what to get exactly, but I think it would be a bird, a heart, or a word. And either on an easy to hide spot, but I do like the above ones that these girls have on their wrists.. I know this is the third time I’m bothering you guys with my inner tattoo-conflicts, but I’d love to hear what you think! Let me know!

Shop the Spring 2012 Trend already: Mellow Yellow

From left to right:

Mulberry   /   Matthew Williamson   /   Monique Lhuillier
Rodarte   /   Cushnie et Ochs   /   Holly Fulton
Spotted so far in New York, London and Milan Fashion Weeks: Yellow. The color was seen in so many collections for spring 2012, from bright to more ochre yellow, it was everywhere. I was already very into ochre this fall, but for spring the bright, almost neon yellow color really appeals to me. I love the Cushnie et Ochs dress you see above, but I also really like the 60′s Holly Fulton dress. I already added a dash of yellow to my wardrobe this fall, but I might already invest in spring. Wearing yellow now makes you kind of fashion forward this way right? Shop the trend for less with these bright yellow items!
