2012 so far in outfits

Outfit overload! At the start of 2012 I thought to myself: I’m going to do a monthly outfit recap and ask my readers which one is their favorite. Somehow time flew by and every time I though about it, it was already too late. So I’m making it up to you now by showing you my favorite outfits of 2012 so far. No, this isn’t all (because that would be a major overload) but just my favorites. The last 6 are from May, and from now on I’ll do a little recap and the end of every month. So, I know it’s a lot, but do you have any favorites?

Outfit | Lilac

Lilac t-shirt: Zara / Fishnet tanktop: Nelly / Jeans: H&M (old) / Shoes: Mango / Necklace: Fashionology / Ring: H&M / Nails: Essie Lilacism

Wearing a fully light colored look for a change, no black at all! I like stepping out of my (black) comfort zone every now and then and even though the pastel trend seemed a little too cute for me, I got a sudden crush on lilac. It was too hot the past day to be in the sun dressed in dark colors anyway, so why not go light for a change. Love this Zara tee that I got 2 sizes too big so that I can wear it off shoulder, this time with a little fishnet underneath. Will I ever get enough of fishnet? Probably not. Gotta run now, big test today at the University. Can’t wait to hear how you feel about this look!

Tip | Camouflage Jacket

Just wanted to give you a little tip: camouflage is hot right now and for those of you who liked my jacket (as worn here) can now get a very similar one for a nice price at Nelly.com. I would have gotten these if I didn’t have one already! Get it here.

- SORRY GUYS, THE JACKET WAS SOLD OUT IN ABOUT A FEW HOURS! I HAD NOW IDEA IT WOULD BE THAT POPULAR. I’LL GIVE YOU A HEADS UP WHEN IT’S BACK IN STOCK!! -

Outfit | Party On

Oversized number tee: Victoria’s Secret / Leather shorts: H&M (old) / White leather shopper: Ready to Fish via Muze / Flatform sneakers: ASOS

So, how is your holiday weekend so far? Mine is great in the sense that the weather is awesome and I had two great nights with friends, but less awesome in the sense that I’m also studying my but off for a test I have next week. Oh well, I guess it comes with that thing called ‘an education’. Here’s what I was wearing yesterday: as little as possible and very basic. It was soooo hot! I later realized that I even forgot my jewelry! It was the perfect outfit for chilling in the sun with friends on a sunday though, can’t dress up every day right? Still so in love with this leather shopper (that I wore as a clutch here) since I can switch from clutch to shopper that will fit in all my stuff whenever I want to. I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend (and not minding my very simple look), I’m off to another exciting and busy week!

Be There | Humanoid Super Stock Sale

Guess what? Next sunday, June 3rd, my favorite store in Arnhem is having a Super Stock Sale. Which means they sell pieces from previous collections of their brand Humanoid and the other brands they sell in their Arnhem store for a very low prices. I would call that a be there, or be square: your chance to get designer clothing with huge discounts. It’s held in Arnhem at the Dr. C Lelyweg (so not at the store) and they will have 3 shifts/times on which you can come and shop luxury for less. Due to high demand you’ll have to get a ticket (here) but you will get that fee back at checkout, it’s just to make sure you get in. I will definitely be there, and hope I’ll be able to restrain myself. About those other brands besides Humanoid? Well, Isabel Marant, Acne, Isabel Marant Etoile, Current/Elliott.. Just to name a few! Need I say more?
For more information and tickets click here. You wouldn’t want to miss this one!

Inspiration | From the waist up

A little weekend inspo! I read a lot of blogs / street style inspo and other fashion websites and save my inspiration in a folder until I decide to share it with you guys. Somehow, my folder was this time full of inspiration from the waist up! It’s not your typical summer inspo but then again, I always grab a sweater or jacket when summer evenings get chilly (or when I have to get out early) and one can never have enough jackets. Or so is my opinion. What you’re looking at is what I’m loving right now:
Summer layering
A denim/camo jacket with studs which I neeeeed
Can’t get enough of bomber jackets, love this one
Love how this lady rocks the bare abs, not sure if mine are ready for that
Desperately looking for an oversized trashed denim jacket like this one
Or a cool black leather backpack, for that matter
Beware for my favorite fall trend to come: velvet. Love this belt
If I were a DIY-er, I would have DIY’ed this last night. so freaking cool.

Happy weekend lovelies!
