Outfit | Accessorize

Hello from sunny Lisboa! It’s so nice to be away with my man and enjoy a real summer in a souther country. We got to Lisboa on Sunday which probably wasn’t the best day because everything was closed and there was not much to do in the city, but yesterday we took the train to another little village and went to the beach. What is better than the beach, right? This is what I was wearing. As I told you, I packed really light this time and decided to bring some cool accessories to spice up my looks, as I’m going here. I’m really into skater-ish skirts at the moment, a little more feminine than you’re probably used to from me. I stole my man’s bag again since I didn’t want my Wang to be damaged by sun and sand, but actually I like the bold print against the grey I’m wearing. And of course my statement necklace and this cool bracelet to finish the look. Today we’re going shopping, excited!!

July Looks – What’s your favorite?

I know, July hasn’t ended yet but since it’s the end of the month and I haven’t had time to shoot and show you a new outfit (sorry!), anddd I’m on my way to Portugal right now, I thought I’d round up my favorite looks from July. A lot of variation I guess, and not as much shorts as I would have wanted to, but the good thing about transitional weather is that you can wear anything you want. Which is pretty much what I always do. So which one’s your favorite? Happy Sunday!

Packing for Lisboa

Right now I’m packing for Lisboa since we’re leaving tomorrow morning already. How time flies!
I’m not very good at packing since I always want to bring half my wardrobe (what if I would want to wear a certain pair of shoes and I didn’t bring them?), but this time I’m really going to try to bring the bare minimum. I’m obviously taking my cool tie dye bikini and the shorts in the picture are the ones I cut off (read about that here if you’ve missed it). Also taking a lot of jewelry since that can spice up any simple skirt and top. You’ll see what I brought since I will of course take my camera and show you what I’ll be wearing. And luckily my hotel has WiFi so expect a lot of updates! Enjoy your weekend!

A Few Snaps

Just a few snaps from the past few days that I really wanted to share with you, since my next diary will be all filled with vacation pictures! Not that I mind being not on vacation right now, because this week was soooo good. All I did was enjoy summer to the fullest, which is exactly what one should do in that one week it’s really hot. So here’s what you’re looking at:

- Electric blue nail polish from Sephora, my favorite color at the moment (although I have a different favorite every few days)
- My new necklace from Zara, it’s so gorgeous!
- Enjoying the sun with a glass of wine. Life is not bad at all.
-  Wearing my galaxy printed tanktop and the leopard sandals I’ve pretty much been living in this week.
- Went to the new Batman movie and of course I had to wear my bat sweat. Get yours here.
- I know people not from the Netherlands only know Amsterdam, but Arnhem is actually quite a pretty city as well!
- My fashionable boyfriend. Camo printed cap and shoes, quilted vest,  he get’s it. He’s actually the fashionable one from us two, haha.
- Caved in after making this post and ordered the ID chain bracelet. Couldn’t resist with such a small price tag.
- Wearing Zoe Karssen (via Muze) again, this time the tank top. Will show an outfit with this one soon!
- And of course, doing a little research for our vacation since we’ve never been to Lisbon. Tips are very welcome!

Happy Friday lovelies!

Outfit | Boyish

It was that time for my favorite boyfriend jeans again. I got the cap as an early birthday present for my man but decided to ‘boy’ up the whole look by wearing it. Love the print, so this might not be the last time I’m stealing it. I actually wear these jeans a lot even though you haven’t seen them on the blog that often. I usually wear them on days when comfort and easiness is my number 1 priority, which is usually on days I take for myself and on which I don’t take pictures of my outfits. I actually like these jeans so much that I got another pair of them on sale for almost nothing this week and cut them off for the perfect pair of boyfriend shorts! So something different, something boyish this time. How do you like my look? :)

Budget Shopping | The new (summer) basics

Paisley printed t-shirt / Zebra cat eye sunnies (on sale!) / Perfect strappy heels / ID chain bracelet / Skater skirt / Sporty duffle bag (on sale!)

I’m not sure what it is, but I’m in the mood for shopping lately. Maybe it is because I cleaned out my closet and there’s now a lot of space in it, or maybe it’s just new collections dropping in and everything looks so good. As seasons change, the basics also do. Of course white tees, boyfriend jeans and such are always good basics, but for instant prints are at the moment definitely something you need in your closet. Also, next to the mini skirt, the skater skirt is making a comeback. No more aviators, get yourself some mirrored or cateye sunnies, like these zebra ones (so cool). Chunky chains are the way to accessorize and then there’s the sporty bag to top it al off. I would love to be wearing this right now. It’s all very affordable by the way, but I’m saving my money for my vacation next week!
Has any of you been to Lisbon? Any tips?

By the way, the leather bomberjacket from yesterday’s outfit is still available on sale (I thought it was sold out) and since so many of you liked it that much: get it here while you still can :)

Don’t forget, all you Dutchies can still enter the Cupcake Boutique giveaway and win a box of cake pops!
