Outfit | Channeling Lim

One of the things that stood out most from all the Pre-Fall collections that recently came to my sight was 3.1 Phillip Lim and it’s oversized sweatshirts with side zippers. I immediately asked the higher powers to deliver me a budget version, and quick please, because pre-fall is still so far away. I guess someone heard my cries since I found this sweater last week and even though I am not always a fan when there’s an almost invisible line between inspiration and copycatting, I was weak. Then I guess even though Lim’s a genius, he doesn’t have the exclusive right to sweatshirt and I guess some zippers are that much of deal. Or maybe they are, because they can give a sweater quite the edge, as I have noticed. The second edge comes from my already beloved Tess boots that bring the word block heel to another level and are just so good. But that’s really all I have to say about this right now, wish I could chat a little more and talk about how I cleaned out my closet yesterday and will sell about 60% of it on Saturday (I was very strict on myself and it felt great!) but I have to run. Because the Humanoid Stock Sale Days are starting and I’m in the mood for some shoppinggg!!

Diary | The last 2 weeks

Sooo the past two weeks haven’t exactly been a blast for me, as most of you know. I’m getting better everyday though and your support helps so much, so big thank you for that. There’s always fashion in my life though, even when I’m not feeling well so I have quite a lot to share of what I’ve been up to the past few weeks and it’s not only wearing doughnut socks in hospital beds. Actually, a lot of fun things happened as well (new shoes!!) and I’ll hopefully be back to my old self soon. So here’s what you’re looking at:

- Ok the first part isn’t great. I had surgery and it was kind of scary but I survived (not that I wouldn’t had survived, it wasn’t that bad) and Isabel Marant sweatpants and doughnut socks helped me through the first 2 days!
- My boyfriend got me this super cute tiny heart ring, I love getting small thoughtful presents when he comes back from his trips! Also, I baked these super cute cake pops with my friend and even though they tasted like butter balls (we didn’t follow the recipe the right way) they looked cute haha.
- After days in sweats I got tired of it (I actually didn’t know I would get tired of sweatpants that quick) and wore ripped boyfriend jeans and checked socks. Also: wrapped myself up since it was freezing outside and went to my parents for a few days to get pampered. Thanks mom and dad for the past two weeks, you’ve been the best parents I could wish for.
- A picture from an outfit I never published since this is the only picture I liked from it. I can be very picky when it comes to which photos I put on the internet! Also: there was a lot of cuddling time with my cats this time.

But wait, there’s more!

- I had quite a bit of time on my hands which of course resulted in online shopping, but that was ok since I found these gorgeous Acne Tess boots on sale, there was only one pair left in my size! That sure made the world a little brighter! Also: obsessed with band rings at the moment. These are from ASOS (here).
- A little mirror shot and next to it my favorite snap from yesterday’s outfit. It’s all about coats lately!
- Wearing my new Kenzo sweatshirt and ASOS trousers. Will shoot this outfit soon! And something unexpected: a leather puffer jacket from Goosecraft. But I’ll get into the puffer-topic later.
- Yesterday: couldn’t help myself and went over to Zara since I was in the mood for a big fitting session. My favorite was this Dries van Noten inspired sheer check shirt. Today: cleaning out my closet rigorously in preparation of Saturday’s big sale! Make sure you’ll be there!

Outfit | Last Snow

The last pictures in the snow. Or at least in this snow, because who knows what February and March will bring, right? I don’t mind myself a little snow, I actually liked it much better than what we have now, all I see when I look outside is grey and rain. If we could only change the weather right?
Here’s what I was wearing on the last snowy day of January: leopard part 487 ;). Had  to take my new leopard coat for a spin though! Even though it’s quite the eyecatcher itself I decided to wear them with my bright blue Bobby’s, since I love the combination of leopard and electric blue. Hiding my hair under my favorite beanie since I really have to dye it again but I haven’t gotten to it yet. Viva la beanie. And leopard, of course.

Shopping | Graphic Black and White

Basic black and white, one of my favorite trends for this spring/summer! Even better combined in one garment and in a bold, graphic print.
Here are my black and white favorites from the high street. One of them is already in my closet!

White LOVE sweat / Cutout while soled boots / Mono checked sweater
Check print trousers / Mesh and white crop top / Trousers in monochrome / Letter print shorts
Textured crop jumper / Nike Free sneakers / Mesh insert color block tee
Contrast heeled sandals / Knitted striped dress / Check cigarette trousers
Graphic print knit / Black and white biker jacket / Paris-NY graphic print top

I hope you all have a great week. I sure will because I’m feeling better and better and looking forward to the Humanoid Stock Sale days and NSMBL Super Sale! Who’s coming?

Outfit | Snow leopard

I’m not trying to bore you guys to death with all my leopard, really. It’s just a bit of an obsession spiraling out of control. For me leopard really doesn’t get boring at the moment though, there are so many ways to wear it and I do try to bring some variation into my looks so I hope you guys don’t mind :)
This time I went for basic black and white with orange leopard. I really like the contrast and black and white is my favorite combination ever, what better to brighten it up with some orange? It’s been a while since I wore this white coat which was such a score last year when I found it on sale for 15 euros! That’s all for now though, planning to have a really quiet and relaxed Sunday even though my whole week has been pretty much all about relaxing haha. Life is not bad, let’s just hope it will get a bit warmer outside soon because this cold is starting to bore me! Have a nice day lovelies!

Humanoid Stock Sale next week!

There’s an exciting 4-day event coming up in my hometown! The last time I went to a Humanoid Stock Sale I got so many good things for such small prices that I got a lot of requests from you guys about when the next big sale would be. Well, here it is: next week!
There’s an event called ‘Arnhemse Stockdagen‘ and Humanoid is joining as well, selling pieces from previous collections from all their brands like Humanoid, Hope, Isabel Marant, Acne, Avelon and more for really good prices! The event is at the Humanoid store in Arnhem (see image for the address) and lasts 4 days(!) and they will restock every day! I’m definitely going, it’s a great chance to get your hands on great stuff for really good prices at my favorite store in Arnhem.. So who’s joining me?

Outfit | #bestknitever

Yay, I’m fully back! Here’s my first after-surgery outfit haha. It’s not that dramatic though, I’m feeling much better and I’m healthy now so that’s great!
This is an outfit from this week. A week in which I’m still mostly going for comfort but trying to get my groove back as well. This knit came just in time. It’s just as comfy as it is pretty and what I think I like most about it is the color, the really light beige mixed with light blue. So there you go, meet my new favorite knit. I’ll be wearing this a lot, for sure! I wore it with light blue jeans which don’t really need explaining I guess, and my good old IM sneakers that are getting to a point where their glory days are over. Not that I won’t wear them anymore, but I’ve worn them so crazy much that they’re starting to get old. Luckily I still have my blue Bobby’s!
So I hope my week of comfort isn’t boring you to much in this outfit but I guess a little simplicity is a good balance next to all my bright leopard, right?
Happy Friday guys!
