In with the new – the budget issue

In with the new. I’m ready. I did an ‘In with the new’ post last week with designer clothing that I would love to all have in my closet, but the truth is I’m on a tight budget this month – and probably the time to come – so here’s a selection of new stuff that I love and can actually afford at the moment. And don’t get me wrong: high street stores like Zara, ASOS and Topshop are making great collections so being on a budget is not even that bad!
So what you’re looking at are all pieces that caught my attention while browsing the high street to make a nice selection. I’m really into bright orange at the moment and you’ll see a lot of that color this spring. Also pretty much an essential are band rings: I love these really small ones pictured above. Black and white is a huge trend for spring and stripes are well, which pretty much go with everything so that’s always good. The leopard is pretty obvious since I’ve been obsessing over that for a while now, and I really like the Topshop version of the buckled Balenciaga boots! And then there’s an origami sweatshirt and an ombre faux leather jacket that were just too good not to include in my selection. Also really high on my wishlist: minimalistic white sandals and croc leather shorts. Don’t you just sometimes wish you could click your fingers and all of the above would magically appear in your closet? I really do right now! Happy Friday!
Bright orange textured knit / Fine band rings / Striped top / Leather shorts
Light wash jeans / Leopard sweater / White sandals / Wrap skirt
Origami sweater / Buckled cutout boots / Ombre faux leather jacket / Check skirt

LOVE those white sandals! I’m always looking for interesting but versatile sandals that aren’t thongs – I HATE the feeling of something between my toes!
