& Other Stories | The Collection

You might have caught some of the mystery around & Other Stories, the new brand H&M is launching this spring/summer. I personally like a bit of mystery, it creates more excitement and a big yay when we can actually see the collection. Which is now. Above you can see a big part of the SS13 collection from & Other Stories, which will be available in stores in 7 countries and online in 10 countries (including the Netherlands, yay!) soon. And it looks gooood. I’m loving the photo prints, cool silhouettes and very nice accessories. I feel like it has most resemblance to COS (which is also an H&M baby) but the shoes are better. Probably because they stole one of Acne’s shoe designers and put her on this collection. Which was a good choice, because I’m most swept away by the shoes. I’m definitely planning on adding a pair or two to my wardrobe as soon as they are available! The question most asked about this collection is of course: do we need another chain, especially from H&M that’s doing so well with Weekday, COS, Monki, Cheap Monday and of course H&M itself. Clothing-wise: I’m not sure. I do love the clothing but feel like it could have been brought into a Weekday or COS collection as well. Shoe-wise? Yes, please! The accessories are really good as well so there’s definitely some excitement from my part. They promise to create 200 different shoes a year. I’d say, I will probably need a new shoe closet.
You can see the entire lookbook and collection (because yes, there’s much more than what’s pictured above) here and read a bit more about the idea behind the collection (use Google Translate).

I agree with you. I don’t know why they made this new line when their other lines are so successful, because this one does resemble COS (but with more prints and a little bit more of a twist).
What I am digging the most are the bags! Looking amazing. x
