What I wore in March! Which look is your favorite?

Happy Easter!

Whites, I love to wear them. I have quite some whites in my closet but somehow they’re all more spring- and summer-apprioprate, so I was saving them for later. However, I was shooting with Chantal from Cocorosa last week for this project and since she makes such pretty pictures I thought I’d share what I was wearing. Of course I wish I could have walked out in, but I’m not such a die-hard when it comes to cold.
I was wearing a super pretty top from Yep Collection, I really like that it’s a sweater with short sleeves and has all these (faux) gems on it. And the skort, the skort you’ve probably seen a thousand times by now. But I understand why everybody got it and it doesn’t really matter to me, I love it just as much. Can’t wait to wear shorts, skirts and skorts next week in the 30 degrees Bali sun! Hope you all have a great Easter Weekend!

Last Saturday I ran into the great guys from Sydney Francisco, a Dutch based street style blog. Oops, I wish I wore something more interesting! Not that I don’t like wearing it but when you meet these talented guys and they take really pretty pictures of you and you realize you were in a hurry that morning and just threw on something black and warm, well, I could have done that better. Luckily  I had an eye-catcher in the form of my Kenzo baby!

Matching! I love it. Especially now that I can match my Kenzo sweater with clouded leopard print with my new Kenzo Vans. When they came out this week there wasn’t really any doubt about what color I would get, since I already made my choice when I bought the sweater. I absolutely love them and can’t get enough of the print! Also, my first pair of Vans actually. Couldn’t have picked a better one to start with though. Happy Thursday!

Black, white and leopard. That just always seems to work for me. I still can’t get enough of this leopard coat, was such a good sale steal at the time. In the mean time my closet is getting ready for summer though, I’ve been shopping shamelessly to add pieces to my closet in preparation of spring (and my vacation next week which I’m trying to shut up about but it’s not really working). Best buy so far: distressed boyfriend jeans with polkadots. But also some of cropped tops, tops with tiny straps (that are a must have this summer), things that are light blue, skirts with mesh, and new sneakers. I didn’t actually think I would embrace cropped tops as much as I suddenly do. I really like the cropped hoodie I’m wearing in the pictures above, from Illustrated People. The fact that it’s cropped makes it less slouchy than the usual hoodie and I love a good bit of graphic text on my chest (does that sound weird?). Anyways, make sure to keep an eye on my instagram (@lovelybylucy) because I don’t share all things new in my closet on the blog but I share loads of it there :) Happy Thursday!

Editorial Love | Sheer Effects

Love love LOVE everything about this editorial in Elle Sweden. My obsession for sheer (in my opinion best done by Dries van Noten en Stella McCartney – that bomber in the 4th picture is so amazing) might not be a surprise but I’m especially stunned by the styling and special effects in this editorial that make it super interesting to look at. Is it me or are the Swedish always one step ahead of us?

Outfit | Three Floor

If you follow me on instagram you’ve met these pieces last week already. Both gorgeous, both from Three Floor, a really cool UK brand that makes amazing dresses but great separates as well. I’m usually up to a styling challenge when new clothes are involved, but I just had to wear them together first since they’re pretty much made for each other. I adore the sweater that is super warm and tweed-ish and cropped which I’m really into. And then there’s this gorgeous wrap skirt that has so many interesting things going on! Both great as separates as well, can’t wait to wear this skirt with a simple white tank in the summer!
