Marble

Marble is having a moment, not only in fashion but in interior as well. Sometimes easy to find (marble printed tops are everywhere), sometimes a bit harder (can’t seem to find affordable bedding in marble print). I saw an image on Pinterest a while ago showing a marble Macbook skin and had an instant obsession, so I went on the hunt. And then I found CaseApp, allowing me to make cases and skin for my favorite hardware in any print possible. Design your own, I love it. And thus I made a skin for my Macbook Air and a matching iPhone case in one of this seasons hottest prints. Also: a little peek into my interior. That could use some more marble, I think.
If you go to Caseapp.nl you can design any skin or case you want for your device, and you get 20% off with the code 20LUCY, valid until March 9th. Delivery is super quick! Happy Friday :)

7 Things

jlindeberg31-865x692 aww14

7 things that are on my mind right now.. First of all this look from the latest J. Lindeberg collection – love the combination of a thin white shirt (unbuttoned one button too many), a tough leather jacket and a silky scarf.

No such thing as too much mascara. Ever.

zara black

So, so many things at Zara. I’ve been trying for 2 months to ignore both the Zara stores and websites which saved me a lot of money but I think my will power has come to an end. Would LOVE to wear this in spring with my Air Force 1.

Leighton for Nelly

DSC_9255DSC_9361DSC_9178DSC_9259

Fashion advice. We take it from friends, magazines, bloggers, and I think most of all we take it from the people we admire in one way or the other. Now I’m a big Gossip Girl fan, so when I heard that Nelly is celebrating 10 years of fashion on Nelly.com this year and is doing that by collaborating with Leighton Meester – I was really curious to see her picks from Nelly. There’s something about that gorgeous girl that makes her favorites so much more interesting, just because she picked it. It’s an interesting mechanism, how we want to have what certain people have, how we want to be like others and try to achieve that a little bit by getting what they have. I’m not going to get all analytic here though, I just caught myself all enthusiastic about this collab just because it’s Leighton. Does it really matter? I don’t think so. I’m wearing some of her favorites in the pictures above and I can sure get why she wanted to wear these faux leather dungarees, they’re so good! See the behind the scenes pictures from Leighton and Nelly here and find the entire Leighton collection – including the dress, dungarees and shoes I’m wearing here. Too bad everything looks better on Leighton ;) Happy Thursday!

Pink.

DSC_2883DSC_2997DSC_2890DSC_3038

If you never try, you never know, right? For a feature on Pimkie I decided to take on the challenge to wear pink. As it is with many things, I have nothing against pink, I just don’t wear it. I do love seeing it on other people. But that goes for many other colors as well. The only thing pink that makes me really happy are the pink bags my Acne purchases come in. Am I right? Ok, and flowers, and lots of pink stuff that you can eat. Anyway, I’m very curious of your opinion about me wearing pink. I do like the contrast with my dark hair!
See and shop the entire Pimkie feature here.

Today

DSC_9045DSC_8807DSC_9080

That was quite the hectic day today. You know, one of those days on which everything fails and the universe seems to be against you? Due to some technology issues, a bit of a late post but I wanted to end the day with a smile anyway, because I’m not letting the universe bring me down today. This is what I wore today. Or yesterday, by the time you guys read it.

Am I the only one..

DSC_7612DSC_7439DSC_7640DSC_7505DSC_7480

Ok, rhetorical question, I know, but am I the only one longing for spring and summer so bad that I’ve just stubbornly started to wear spring stuff? I’m all in the mood for lighter shades with my black, and bare legs that I actually planned to not really show under this maxi dress until I decided that bare legs would be pushing it a little, even in a maxi. But I guess for now it works well enough for me to layer up, luckily I have the leather jacket that can do just that (looove hoodies under leather jackets). The beanie wasn’t really necessary in terms of temperature, it’s actually quite nice outside, but I’m happy none of you really noticed that I’ve been wearing a beanie for 8 days in a row because someone cut my bangs too short. Which is one of my worst nightmares, but luckily it’s growing again. Also, it’s my favorite day of the week, the sun is shining and I’m having taco dinner tonight. Life is good, how about yours?

30 Hours in Stockholm with Weekday

stk1

Back from Stockholm! Even though it was a short trip, I had the most amazing time which was my first time in Stockholm. I’m already hooked to the city and hope to be back very soon! For now, here’s a visual diary of what I did, saw and obsessed over..

DSC_7653DSC_7649DSC_7646DSC_7664

After arriving in Stockholm we (which is Jan en Martijn from schoon den boer PR, an editor from Dutch Vogue and an editor from Dutch Glamour) went straight to the Weekday Headquarters where we got a sneak peek of the gorgeous new AW14 collection from Weekday and Weekday Collection. Great prints and amazing coats, I actually wanted to wear all the men’s coats they showed and am definitely planning on visiting the men’s department more often at Weekday. Also: a very exclusive preview of a book which I can’t tell you much about yet, but definitely will later!

The trip was actually all about denim, the next morning we had a presentation with Weekday’s jeans designer Johan Langer-Tegman who told us all about the 7 days jeans collection. At the Weekday store we had breakfast with Swedish press and bloggers and learnt all about the Monday, Tuesday, etc. jeans (hence MTWTFSS Weekday) and saw the collection that is in stores now and some of it in stores soon. I loooved the white ensemble above and definitely hope to get my hands on those white boyfriend jeans (should be in store about now or next week) and a black denim wrap skirt in the 5th picture. And since I’ve been looking for new boyfriend denim, I got the Friday men’s jeans that are a perfect, slightly stretchy boyfriend jeans that comes in about 20 different washes (!). I was definitely impressed by the MTWTFSS Weekday jeans collection with the many different styles and washes, there’s great basics but they are really on trend as well with for instance printed denim and boxy denim jackets for this spring. There’s an exciting jeans promotion coming up in March as well, I’ll definitely keep you updated.

And then of course, it was Stockholm, so some shopping had to be done as well. And we stayed in the most amazing Nobis hotel. A huge thanks to Weekday and schoon den boer PR for an amazing Stockholm trip and a new obsession with MTWTFSS Weekday denim. Check it out online here. Happy Weekend!
