After first weeks of preparation, a really interesting design process and launch of the collection me and 6 other bloggers designed for Eyelove, an optical retail chain for glasses and sunglasses, here’s a little video recap of the project. My favorite part was actually designing the glasses and thinking about what I wanted them to look like, knowing I could do anything I want. Seeing my designs for the first time definitely was another highlight. And the collaboration being picked up by other media and my readers the way it was meant a lot to me! So thanks for all the support and enthusiasm guys :)

It all started with looking up some inspiration on Pinterest, and evolved into a collection of glasses..
It’s here! The glasses me and 6 other bloggers designed for Eyelove (the Eyelove Fashion Collection) is out, available from the 6th of February, and above you can see the result..
It’s been so much fun to design a small limited edition collection of glasses. First of all I never designed anything myself before, and second of all the process was so much fun, interesting and I’m really happy with the result. From looking up inspiration to thinking about shapes, fabrics and actually designing the glasses to waiting on samples and then finally seeing the first ones, doing the campaign shoot and wearing my glasses for the first time.. The process was fun but having my ‘own’ glasses, signed with my name and available on 125 locations nationwide – that’s the best part.
I’m really curious to hear how you feel about them as well. For me glasses, especially sunglasses are an accessory I match with my looks so I love having multiple, but at the same time I don’t find it easy to find a lot of great pairs that match my face well, they’re quite personal. Luckily you can try them out yourself and see them in real life from February 6th at the 125 Eyelove locations: click here to find the one closest to you. The glasses are both sold as prescription glasses and sunglasses for only 49€. You can also check my designs, more info and the other bloggers’ designs at the Eyelove website here.
Last but definitely not least, I’m giving away one of my designs to my beloved readers (you!). To win a pair of Lovely by Lucy x Eyelove glasses as pictured above, leave a comment below with your name, email address and why you should win a pair of (sun)glasses from my collection! Can’t wait to hear what you guys think!
THE COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO LIESBETH FOR WINNING!
After designing my own glasses I’ve really started embracing not only wearing sunglasses as an accessory but normal glasses as well. My eyes are fine but I’m not letting me keep them from wearing glasses. I love changing my looks by changing small details. Nonetheless, I’m happy I have them with tinted glasses as well, now that the sun is shining all the time! Not really good for my work ethic, because I escaped my laptop at 4 today to get some color on my face, but it’s sure good for my mood!

How good are these loose fit jeans? I found them on sale at the Hope store in Amsterdam last week and the fit is just perfect, the patchwork makes it even better. These once again prove that it’s often worth it to invest a little now and then, I honestly don’t have boyfriend jeans that fit this perfectly. The Swedes never disappoint either. Luckily no need to invest when you run into a great sale score! Maybe it’s because I have not been sale shopping at all during the winter sales, that I was lucky enough to run into 2 great finds. I’ll show you the other one later today!
After a weekend that started with recovering from the flu that hit me last week, continued with catching up on what I couldn’t do while I was sick and tons more work, the launch of my collection for Eyelove (have you seen it?), and ending with a shoot yesterday for another project launching next week – I’m ready for a weekend of rest. Kind of, because half the weekend is already over and I’ve been working today, but I’m now closing my laptop and spending the rest of the weekend in bed with Vogue. Pictured above (and waiting in my bed for me) is Vogue’s Collectors Issue with 3 different gorgeous covers with Doutzen Kroes. It comes out next week (10 Feb) but you can order it here as well.
Happy weekend guys!
As you might know by know, for the past few months I’ve been working on a big project with Eyelove, an optical retail chain for prescription glasses, and I’ve been designing my own glasses/sunglasses for them. Last week the samples finally came in and me and the other bloggers that designed glasses did a shoot for the launch (which will be on the 2nd of February!) with our own glasses. I was super excited to finally see the result and shoot it. Above are the behind the scenes pictures which also give you a pretty good preview of my glasses, but you’ll obviously have a better look at them when they launch! Again, can’t wait!
Stay tuned for the launch on February 2nd!
Behind the scenes pictures by Sacha, I was photographed by the talented Anouk Hart, hair & make up by Cynthia.

I love wearing simple looks and giving them that extra touch by adding cool accessories or shoes. Now it’s getting colder, I’m starting to accessorize different. Obviously there are the standard winter accessories that are different from summer accessories, like scarfs, gloves and beanies. But I’m always trying to find extra ways to add an edge. I really love jewelry, but wear much less jewelry in winter since most of my skin is usually covered so you don’t get to see much of a necklace or bracelet when I’m wearing it. This winter I have a new accessory as you can see above: I’ve been wearing some glasses lately to change up my looks when I feel like it. They can be such a good accessory to finish off your look, change up what you look like, just by adding 1 simple piece. I love this pair of glasses from Eyelove, an optical retail chain for prescription glasses, and can’t wait to show you the result soon of the glasses I’m designing for Eyelove myself! Do you wear glasses as an accessory?
