From me to me

Givenchy obsedia bag black leather classic

A bag dream came true when my new baby arrived yesterday. This bag had been on my mind for such a long time.. I guess we were meant to be together, since a 2 weeks ago I had quite a stroke of luck when doing my taxes. I had already saved up for a new bag but I felt this might have been a sign. This year hasn’t been fantastic so far (except for my vacation in Bali) and I felt like this was something I really wanted to do for me. So the decision was made, the Obsedia would be mine. But there’s quite a few colors out there at the moment and I really liked the bright blue (here and here) and black croc (here) ones as well. After a good week of thinking I decided to go for the most classic black after all. I will never get tired of black, it’s a classic and it goes with any outfit. It feels even better that I worked hard for it all year, even though I didn’t know it yet back then.
There’s obviously much more to life than objects, but this bag makes me intensely happy at the moment!

Favorite Sandals

zara white and silver hardware metallic sandals

At the moment, my favorite high summer shoes are these white sandals with silver hardware. The hardware makes them look super chic and edgy, even though they’re quite simple flats. Last year my favorite sandals were from Zara as well, ponyhair leopard ones, but these are a really good replacement! They look much better on your feet then on the website as well and they’re super budget friendly. From Zara, of course.
Happy Thursday!

Matching

kenzo x vans ss13 clouded leopard design mint orange

Matching! I love it. Especially now that I can match my Kenzo sweater with clouded leopard print with my new Kenzo Vans. When they came out this week there wasn’t really any doubt about what color I would get, since I already made my choice when I bought the sweater. I absolutely love them and can’t get enough of the print! Also, my first pair of Vans actually. Couldn’t have picked a better one to start with though. Happy Thursday!

Meet my new Kenzo bag

Kenzo chain bag mint aqua satchel

Call me superficial, but this bag made me the happiest I’ve been in a little while. I had been obsessing over it ever since I first saw it and I couldn’t be more excited that it’s now mine. It’s the perfect small chain bag, in all it’s gorgeous aqua and minty colors and cool silver lock. Definitely my number 1 favorite piece in my closet at the moment!
How I found it? Well, one of my favorite brands of the moment is Kenzo, and their SS13 collection is amazing. I was looking for where I could get Kenzo and similar brands in the Netherlands, since it’s hardly available here and a lot of stuff sell out online quickly. That’s when I discovered Wendela van Dijk, a store based in Rotterdam that has an online store as well and sells brands like Kenzo, Dries van Noten, Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant, Maison Martin Margiela and more. Definitely a good find and immediately added to my list of favorite Dutch stores!

Les Espadrilles

There’s no other word to call them than Les espadrilles with a capital L. I recently posted a quote to Instagram saying ‘Life is short, buy the shoes’ which became my most liked instagram-picture so far. I guess you agreed. I was referring to these, the shoes that will be stuck to my feet all summer. I was very lucky to get my hands on them and and am so happy to finally have some Chanel in my closet. I don’t mind that they’re the least expensive Chanel shoes ever, I like that they are and that I was able to find and afford them. A little gift from me to me. Now all I have to do is wait until it’s April and I’m going to Bali and wear these every day!

Meet Yep Collection

yep collection sweaters

Meet the latest additions to my closet: these two pieces from Yep Collection. But first, let me introduce you to Yep Collection, because it’s something I’m really excited about. It’s a new online store created by very inspiring people. Based in Amsterdam, Yep Collection is an online store that sells their own Korean brand as well as a few high end designer pieces, it’s really a mix of super cool and very affordable clothing and high end accessories. It has that Korean cool mixed with digital, visual artworks and it’s own uniqueness. It’s not just a store or a brand though, the guys at Yep Collection have a really strong vision focusing on digital and visual. I love a strong concept, especially if it results in modern and wearable fashion where the shop is not just a shop, but a cool digital space. All the clothing is really edgy and if I could I’d own the whole collection right now. I mean, can you believe the two sweaters above, one with a super cool photo print on the sleeves and the bright orange one embellished with stones are both under €60?

Yep Collection is quite new so I’m happy to introduce them to you. And you will see much more of it on the blog, I can promise you. You can find the website here and they ship internationally! You can find the sweater with the photo print sleeves here and the orange sweater will be online soon, as will many other cool pieces be. By the way, they are running a competition right now entitling one lucky winner and a friend to spend 4 days in a 5-star luxury hotel in London during Fashion Week! All you have to do is buy an item from YepCollection.com before Monday 18th of February! Read more about the competition here. Happy Tuesday!

New in | Stock sale steals from Humanoid

As I told you I went to the stock sale at Humanoid yesterday and found some pretty great stuff! I was looking for a pair of boyfriend jeans and found the perfect pair from Current/Elliott with 70% off. And then I ran into a super soft pair of cream-colored jeans from IRO that I just couldn’t leave behind. Will go perfect with my cream leather jacket. Also: a bright orange tee from Acne and a super soft cashmere jumper from Humanoid. It was a really good deal even though I got 4 pieces so I’m happy! The stock sale still lasts until Sunday so there’s 3,5 day left if you still want to go! You can find more info and the address here or recent updates on the Humanoid FB page here. Happy Friday!
