Anticipatory pleasure

ordered on asos 04122013

Oh how I love the pleasure of knowing that there’s something (or in this case, quite a lot) good on its way to me. I told you I was in a shopping mood and decided to treat myself to some newness, so I placed a big order and can’t wait for it to arrive. As you can see, all right up my street: lots of black, grey and there had to be some leopard involved. Can’t wait to wear that furry Marcel Ostertag for ASOS jacket! Happy Wednesday!

What I got:
ASOS faux fur jacket by Marcel Ostertag / Monki long jersey bomber jacket / ASOS dress with rib cuff / Glamorous PVC leggings
ASOS ovoid coat with faux fur collar / ASOS fine knit jumper dress / ASOS reclaimed vintage RAP vest / ASOS printed t-shirt dress

When all that shimmers is gold

nike air max 1 white woven gold swoosh

They say not all that sparkles is gold, and for that has been the case for a very long time. There was a time, about 2 years ago, when I banned gold from my wardrobe. And when I do something, I do it with a passion. My jeans can not have gold zippers, there’s no gold hardware to be found on any of my clothing or bags and I found it not only satisfying but also very easy. By avoiding gold there was a lot less to choose from on random (online) shopping sprees and I’m sure it saved me a lot of money. I’m not against gold, at all, it just isn’t really for me. Until I walked into a sneaker store on Friday and spotted these all white Nike Air Max 1 with gold swoosh and I felt the very, very urgent need to take them home. Why? Please don’t ask. It probably has something to do with a state of mind, a ghetto mood and breaking fences once build. The gold swoosh might have a deeper meaning, but then again, these are just a very cool pair of sneakers. In which all that sparkles really is gold. Just what I needed. Happy weekend!

Just in

ordered on asos 01112013

What is that saying again about embracing the little things in life? Small things like receiving (ok, a not so small) packages with new stuff can make me smile at any time, and this just came in this morning. I have this huge list of saved items on ASOS and decided to cave in a little and order some new stuff. I went for the things that always work for me: sneakers, leopard, fluffy things, black, grey and that bandana print on that shirt dress is just too cool. Can’t wait to wear all of it this weekend. Happy weekend guys!

Other UK bandana print dress / Monki fluffy backpack / Grey vest with drape armhole / Pony high top trainers
Leggings with pleat effect / Stussy t-shirt with leopard print / Nike logo sweatshirt

For my toys

caseable laptop and iphone cases

My latest ‘work’ investment has been a Macbook Air. My laptop is pretty much my life (that and my phone) because it’s where I blog, I’m on it all day, all my pictures are on it.. So I was looking for a nice case for it as well as for my phone because I always scratch it and break the glass. Then I found these cool ones from Caseable. Even though I always wear black and grey, for my electronics I like something more fun. Definitely go check out there laptop sleeves, such cool designs! Find the laptop sleeve here and the phone case here. Happy Friday lovelies!

Speaking of which..

Black buckled balenciaga cutout boots silver hardware

Thanks for all the really nice and sweet comments on yesterday’s flat shoe talk! Speaking of which..
THIS HAPPENED YESTERDAY.
After not knowing what to think of these boots 2 years ago I grew into liking and then into loving them, but never thought I’d actually get them because I thought I’d never find them, especially not with silver hardware (I’m very fussy about my hardware). They’re also quite the investment and not something that I would get if I wasn’t 1) a 100% sure that I needed them in my life and have been thinking that for at least a few months but in this case over a year and 2) sure that there’s not a better boot coming this fall that’s even a better investment. I’m not saying 2 is the case for everyone, but for me it is. And I know I’m not the first one with these boots and some might think of me as following a blogger trend by getting them, but I don’t really mind because I’d rather get them late and not be the first or the only one that has them than getting them in the spur of the moment and ending up not wearing them. Thanks to Threads Styling (they also helped me finding my Chanel kicks) they’re finally mine, those girls can really find anything even if it’s sold out.
Can’t wait to wear them so that’s exactly what I will be doing today! Happy Wednesday :)

Luggage

topshop oversized croc leather travel bag grey

Say hello to my new traveling buddy. I’ve been looking for a good weekend-size bag for traveling but they always seem to be either convenient or pretty, but so far never both at the same time. I saw this one at Topshop this week though and I immediately fell in love with the croc suede grey leather, and it’s huge so it will fit all my stuff for a weekend trip, or a lot of stuff as an extra bag for a longer trip. I’m traveling with it from London back home today, really sad to leave London but it’s good to go home because I really need some sleep! I still have pictures from London to share though so stay tuned :) Happy Wednesday!
