New hair

new hair

After going grey for a little while, my hair wouldn’t really accept the grey (somehow it washed out quicker than expected) and went back to dark brown again.
Which was fine, until something started to tickle again. I’ve had the same hair for a really long time and really wanted a change. So I went back to Hype in Arnhem this weekend with a few ideas and went for something totally different that I used to have. This is the result! Quite a bit shorter, lots of layers and I’m especially super excited about the color which is a really cool ombre, from really dark to cool blonde (3 different shades) that is really a work of art since it’s not easy to get this kind of ombre exactly right. I knew who I was trusting with my hair though, I don’t find it that easy to find hairdressers who listen, dare to take a risk because they know they can do it and who will make sure I’ll walk out both happy and looking gorgeous. I’m happy I did because after about 4 years of having pretty much the same haircut and color, I have a super cool cut and color now. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Do you ever change up your hair completely?

Special thanks to Hype in Arnhem for making my hair wishes come true!

Skirt over pant

I could pretend I’m a styling genius right now, but I’ll tell you the honest story. I was wearing black skinny jeans and wanted to put on my leather pencil skirt instead. Not sure why but I put on the skirt and thought I’d get out of my jeans after that (I know, no logic), when I discovered that wearing both actually looked really good. Definitely repeating this one because it was nice and warm as well. Not that the skirt over pant thing is new and I just came up with it, but I didn’t think to put a long leather pencil skirt over rolled up jeans. I think for me it might just be the best way to wear both skirt and pants. Also, a new addition to my ever expanding (and by now, insane) sweater collection. I can’t help it, I have a soft spot for really good sweaters and this one is one of my current favorites, I love basic stuff that has just that little extra, in this case textured panels on the sleeves.

So as you may have noticed (or not, no worries) I took another weekend off and you might notice a bit less of me on social media, but due to personal reasons I’m taking a little bit more me-time in December. But as usual I’m never gone far. Stay tuned for the revelation of a total hair make-over later this week!
Happy Monday :)

10 Things

There are 9 things I would love to share with you and/or show you on this fine Friday..

Thing 1.
I’m crazy about these all white chucks I got at Nelly (here). Which is where you get 24% off just today with code XMAS24 – you’re welcome :)

Thing 2.
Just something I wore the other day. This coat is everything (get it here or almost the same here).

Thing 3:
I printed out a bunch of my favorite pictures (also from my Pinterest) at HEMA and am hanging them on my walls with black duct tape, very soon. Both in the office and at home. Great and not that expensive decoration idea!

Thing 4:
These super super cute Gram Shoes. Adorable.

Thing 5:
Cookie Monster hat at the H&M men’s department. Yeaaaah

Thing 6:
2 fragrance favorites. Amazing smelling hand lotion from And Other Stories and (untitled) by Maison Martin Margiela.

Thing 7:
One of my favorite things to cuddle, my oversized furry clutch (available here).

Thing 8:
Awesome K-Swiss Si-18 international, the re-release of a classic tennis shoe first brought out in my birth year (1989). I never wore much K-Swiss (only when I played tennis when I was younger) but this pair pleasantly surprised me, I love them!

Thing 9:
Me and Annerieke from Anna Rike earlier this week when we were filming for a soon to be launched project about which I will tell you everything soon!

Thing 10:

Happy weekend :)

I usually wear even darker looks in winter than in any other season, but a cozy light winter look can be very refreshing sometimes. I’ve been wearing these trainers and this bag almost every day since I got them, but only when it’s not raining because I’ve made it my personal goal to keep both of them as clean as possible for as long as possible. Let’s see how that goes..
