Four ways /2

The second part in which I’m showing you four different ways to style these cute grey suede sneakers from Barcelona brand Meyba.
I went for for not only 4 different looks, but also 4 different styles. Where the first look (see here) was casual and colorful, an easy spring look, the second one was more minimalistic and simple. For the 3rd and 4th look I went for soft spring colors that match perfectly, and a more dressed and office appropriate look.
Hope you liked me bringing back these series. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions for more editions of 4 ways to wear!
Happy Thursday :)

Look 1:
Trenchcoat: Weekday
Cashmere low back jumper: ASOS
Jeans: Zara
Sneakers: Meyba

Look 2:
Jacket: & Other Stories
Trousers: ASOS White
Sneakers: Meyba

Four ways

Having listened to your suggestions in answer to this personal post I shared last week, I’m bringing back a category in which I’ll show you different ways to wear a single item. You already gave me some suggestions and I’ve definitely written them down, but for the first edition I decided to team up with Meyba, a cool sneaker brand from Barcelona that goes back to the 1940’s and now designs sneakers for people “who are both demanding and original and dare to combine upbeat elegance with originality, quality and wit”. The grey suede sneaker I’m wearing in the images above is not only a great spring sneaker but also the kind of basic yet edgy grey sneaker I’ve been looking to add to my wardrobe for spring.
Now I don’t really think you’d need advice on how to wear these because a grey sneaker is pretty much like a leather jacket: million ways to wear it. Nonetheless I thought it would be fun to show y0u 4 quite different ways in which I’m wearing them. The first 2 looks today, the second 2 looks tomorrow.

Look 1:
Sweatshirt: Wood Wood
Jeans: Weekday
Sneakers: Meyba

Look 2:
Leather jacket: Acne Studios
Sneakers: Meyba

Fashion & Denim

Sustainable jeans with great fits combined with structured shapes in silky fabrics and soft colors and prints – this is what the spring ’15 collection from MTWTFSS Weekday looks like. I’m a big Weekday fan and have been wearing the brand for years, they continue to pleasantly surprise me with interesting collections. The soft pink and sandy tones combined with blue denim are such a good spring combination and even though I’m ‘the girl that always wears black or grey’ – an interesting combination and insanely good pieces like that trenchcoat or leather culottes make me forget all about this dark winter that never seems to end.
My favorite pieces from the collection are the high waisted Thursday jeans (an all time favorite) but also the new Issue jeans that have a really interesting slim fit. The long trenchcoat is already my favorite spring coat but really all the art-inspired prints, structured shapes and soft fabrics I’m wearing in the pictures above made my heart beat a little faster. This is my selection of favorites from the Weekday spring ’15 collection, shot at my home.
Even more reasons to be insanely impatient about spring arriving.

Read more about Weekday’s Fashion & Denim, including their sustainable jeans, and see/shop the entire spring collection at Weekday.
Everything I’m wearing is from Weekday, except for the sneakers.

Finally I get to share this shoot and something exciting news with you guys!
To celebrate that British brand Warehouse, pretty ladies Noor, Lizzy and I got together and were shot by the talented Anouk Hart in total Warehouse looks. I love how these pictures turned 0ut, I don’t do much studio shoots and I don’t find myself really good at actual modeling (which is a whole different world than taking a shot of your outfit for a blog) but Anouk can work magic, even with me.
Back to what this is actually about: Warehouse launches at Dutch department store de Bijenkorf this weekend! Go to their Rotterdam or The Hague locations to shop what we’re wearing and much more, but you can also win a shopping spree worth €500 by regramming my picture on instagram (or just instagramming one of the pictures above) using hashtag #WarehouseHolland.

We’re all wearing total Warehouse looks that you can shop here :)

Some more highlights from Amsterdam Fashion Week captured on camera and in video for #InnerCirqle, a project in collaboration with Bloggernet showing a peek behind the scenes of 11 influencers during fashion week.
The report here might be a little late but I really wanted to show you the video above that wasn’t ready yet, because it gives you a glimpse into fashion week and into one of my favorite shows where you never know what to expect: Collectie Arnhem. I’m always really excited to see what students in the 3rd year of Artez come up with, as well as how so many people (24 this year!) make one collection around a concept. Above are some images and a short video, as well as what I was wearing during the show. Furthermore, definitely worth mentioning is the lunch I had at restaurant I-Dock (picture 4), and my new Logitech Keys-to-go Keyboard that is really useful when running around during fashion week.
Amsterdam Fashion Week was the only fashion week for me this season since I don’t really have time this January and February to travel as I’m working on a lot of different projects, but I definitely enjoyed this one and am already looking forward to the warmer (summer) fashion weeks!

I was wearing Carin Wester jacket and And Other Stories boots.

AFW / 2 highlights

Better late than never. Amsterdam Fashion Week happened 2 weeks ago but since I’ve been busy, had to wait for a video to be ready and hadn’t sorted through my pictures yet, I’m showing you the highlights of that 2-day adventure today.
Of course I already showed you some stuff on instagram since me and 10 other influencers showed our behind the scenes at AFW snaps for InnerCirqle in collaboration with Bloggernet. Nonetheless I didn’t want to keep these 2 highlights from you, one of which was the Avelon Fall 2015 show which was definitely my favorite show of the entire week. Avelon is a brand that matches my style and aesthetics really well anyways and I’m especially fond of their leather pieces but in this collection the chunky knits, coats and that striped suit in the 4th picture blew me away. No better way to celebrate Avelons 5th-year anniversary than with a strong and gorgeous fall collection.
Another highlight was my stay at Hotel Room Mate Aitana, a gorgeous modern hotel at a great location (have you ever been to IJdok in Amsterdam? It’s gorgeous!) with gorgeous rooms and really good service. After a hectic day running around with a camera crew (more about that tomorrow) there’s nothing better than landing in a good hotel that has everything you need and more.
Stay tuned for more AFW stories and a video tomorrow!

Lovely by Lucy for Eyelove, it’s here!

It all started with looking up some inspiration on Pinterest, and evolved into a collection of glasses..
It’s here! The glasses me and 6 other bloggers designed for Eyelove (the Eyelove Fashion Collection) is out, available from the 6th of February, and above you can see the result..
It’s been so much fun to design a small limited edition collection of glasses. First of all I never designed anything myself before, and second of all the process was so much fun, interesting and I’m really happy with the result. From looking up inspiration to thinking about shapes, fabrics and actually designing the glasses to waiting on samples and then finally seeing the first ones, doing the campaign shoot and wearing my glasses for the first time.. The process was fun but having my ‘own’ glasses, signed with my name and available on 125 locations nationwide – that’s the best part.

I’m really curious to hear how you feel about them as well. For me glasses, especially sunglasses are an accessory I match with my looks so I love having multiple, but at the same time I don’t find it easy to find a lot of great pairs that match my face well, they’re quite personal. Luckily you can try them out yourself and see them in real life from February 6th at the 125 Eyelove locations: click here to find the one closest to you. The glasses are both sold as prescription glasses and sunglasses for only 49€. You can also check my designs, more info and the other bloggers’ designs at the Eyelove website here.

Last but definitely not least, I’m giving away one of my designs to my beloved readers (you!). To win a pair of Lovely by Lucy x Eyelove glasses as pictured above, leave a comment below with your name, email address and why you should win a pair of (sun)glasses from my collection! Can’t wait to hear what you guys think!
